Garage goes 2nd alarm
CHESTERFIELD, NJ - Firefighters from four counties battled a two-alarm fire in this Burlington County township during the afternoon of Saturday, May 14, 2005.
The blaze at 7 Daniel Avenue, off of Bordentown-Chesterfield Road (Route 528), near the Bordentown Township border, was reported at 3:40 p.m.
Ladder 3225 from Bordentown Township's Derby Fire Company (Station 322), and Engine 2622 from Chesterfield Township's Chesterfield Hose Company (Station 262), arrived to find the attached garage of the one-story dwelling engulfed in flames, with heavy fire extending into the main part of the residence. A second alarm was immediately requested.
The blaze was brought under control in about 45 minutes. The garage was a total loss and the living room area of the house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage, but the rest of the home was saved. There were no injuries reported. A tanker shuttle was used to supply water to the scene.

Tanker 3316 from Franklin Fire Company (Station 331), Mansfield Township
Engine 4612 and Tanker 4616 from Jacobstown Fire Company (Station 461), North Hanover Township
Engine 3911 from New Egypt Fire Company (Station 39), of Plumsted Township, Ocean County
Engine 19-2 from Groveville Fire Company (Station 19), of Hamilton Township, Mercer County
Engine 8282 from Hope Fire Company (Station 82-1), of Allentown, Monmouth County
