Its inevitable...something very very bad is going to happen.
I am not a pesimist by any means, but history has shown that all good things must come to an end.
Apocalypse WOW!
So, do you think Mankind has a chance to survice in this big bad galaxy...or even on samller scale...does mankind have a chance of even surviving on Planet earth for the long run?
Whats the human race's chance of survival in the big piture for the long haul.
I think we do have a chance, but things are going to have to change.
Also, what is the way Mankind is likely to meet its end?
Nuclear/Biological/Chemical warfare? Species suicide?
Robot apocalypse? Hey, we are working on building machines that will be physicaly, mentaly, and in every way better then us...welcome to number 2 on the food chain...again, is this species suicide?
Or how about he realy depressing stuff...things beyond our control.
Yellowstone park and other super volcanos?
Asterorids impacting?
Or even better, aliens!!! Little green men doomsday.
Or maybe it will get all old testiment on us. JC comes back, judgement day, fire and brimstone, satan, all that stuff...
So, in these various senarios, which ones do you think the Human Race has a chance to survive or adapt to...or are we just doomed no matter how you look at it and our time in the Galaxy is fleeting and ever so brief.
"If used in numbers, atomic bombs not only can nullify any nation's military effort, but can demolish its social and economic structure and prevent their re-establishment for long periods of time. With such weapons, especially if employed in conjunction with other weapons of mass destruction such as pathogenic bacteria, it is quite possible to depopulate vast areas of the earth's surface, leaving only vestigal remnants of man's material works."

The end of things to come...
-Brotherhood: I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
-Mistakes: It could be that the purpose of you life is to serve as a warning to others.
-Adversity: That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
-Despair: Its always darkest before it goes Pitch Black.

In addition to being a topic about the destruction of our civilization and race...
DONT PANIC!!!
(Those of you who recognize this catch phrase and who are movie goers might see where this topic was inspired from)
But it was also an experiment to see how different groups react to the topic at hand.
I might post links to the other threads so you can compair, its kind of interesting. I have not decided if I want to do this yet, I may have more experiments to conduct...
Oh, and not only was this inspired by the above, it is also one of the favorite topics of many of the people I work with.
They are supremely paraniod and creative in their doomsday brainstorming...

Not In The Next 100 Years..........
Look, whatever this is all about, forget it. We are not having the end of the world come anytime in the forseeable future. Why Not? Ask the Lady of the House. She will tell you very plainly that there is simply no time available to schedule such an event. The kids have homework, soccer games, Scout meetings, etc. She will have to get the housework done and get to the Hairdresser after that. The Bridge Club will be meeting on time as well. So, forget it. There just isn't time to do it.

Just keep chanting:
42, 42, 42, 42...
And hell yeah we're doomed, so lets go out with a party.

The end will come not with a bang, but a wimper.
Forget who said it, but with drivel like this, it is one step closer.Psychiatrists state 1 in 4 people has a mental illness.
Look at three of your friends, if they are ok, your it.

I think the end will come in 2014.
1994/5- Rangers win the Stanley Cup
2004-Red Sox win the World Series.
2014-If the New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl, duck!
