    Default Damn!

Ever since the Bobbitt case, women think its funny or ok to
cut off body parts in that area.

STOP! its not ok, nor funny.

Step away from the units! Ok?

but here is the important question:

Does he want a divorce, or does he want to stay married?

For a few perilous minutes I thought I had the misfortune of responding to one of these this weekend.

PD gets dispatched to a domestic disturbance call, get on scene and call for EMS. We get dispatched 'general med, phone dispatch when you get enroute for more info'. Gee, that doesn't sound too good. We pull out, I call dispatch from the bus and get told we're going to a male subject bleeding from his genitals. Knowing the PD was already on a DV call at this address, the mind can't help but wander...

Thankfully, everything was still in place. Very little bothers me, but amputations make my skin crawl. If she'd pulled a Bobbitt on my patient I would have probably needed a CISD session!

    Wink

A conviction for substantial battery with a dangerous weapon carries a maximum 3 years in prison.
So what aspect of the incident makes it substantial battery ? Is it the bondage, the scissors or cutting of the grenis?

Some time ago I ran an out of town transport for a fella (happily married w/ kids) that had no Hx whatsoever. But one day he up and decides it would be a good idea to (1) eat a box of rat poison (2) slice both wrists (3) slice his own throat and (4) finish the spree by removing mr. twig and the berries... all with a box cutter.

Apparently everything was re-attached and working. He was going for a visit to a psych hospital that specializes in "cutters". I couldn't help but to laugh when the nurse handed him some papers including one for wound care. She had circled the part that stated "keep the injured limb elevated".

I actually heard on my way into work this morning on the radio that he had walked in the front door with a prostitute and that's what started it all. Amazing...

Ever since the Bobbitt case, women think its funny or ok to cut off body parts in that area
Not every woman thinks that way, BOU. But apparently it's those parts that got that fella into trouble. I have never felt that mulilation, amputation or false rape or abuse allegations are ever, under any circumstances, acceptable.

I personally would leave the twerp and make sure he would be broke for the rest of his life. But then again, a lot of men don't like that option either. I guess the reasonable thing is to give the man the choice: parts or wallet. Of course he then gives up his right to whine about how she ruined him (physically or financially) for life. Sometimes people forget just how they got themselves into some of their messes and their pity party never ends.

We won't discuss how women have been routinely sexually mutilated in some countries so that sex has no pleasure for them, therefore they have no interest in cheating on their man. That would be off topic and relegated to the "Yeah, but that doesn't happen here." Men tend to get more squeemish when it involves their parts rather than womens.

I dated someone once who kissed another woman right in front of me, didn't think it was a problem I recall. I never contemplated cutting his pride and joy off, but sure gave him a black eye.

I'm with Rookie! Not every woman thinks that it's necessary to cut off body parts to make them pay. I'm not vendictive or mean like that.

Condeming this doesn't constitute endorsing that. Mutilating or removing anybody's happy parts is wong. I mean, wrong.

At least there was room for 15 stitches on the guy.

Well, this is a pretty idiotic statement.

Where did anyone on this forum ever condone this?

Where is the comparison to some cultural issue (yes, of course it is sub-human and morally wrong) and an aggravted assault-regardless of the sex of the aggerssor and victim?

Congratulations. You have reached a new low in rationalization.

Silly me, I think cutting off parts, is cutting off parts regardless of the reason be it cultural or agression. Period. Neither man nor woman could ever possibly deserve such treatment. It's just flat wrong.

You can search everything I have ever written; I have never suggested that anyone on this entire site would condone or endorse such an act. Where did you dig that one up from?

Oh gee, I guess that this wasn't some sarcastic insinuation. Gosh, where would I have ever gotten that idea from?

Of course it is wrong. But your examples are as different as night and day and you know it. You just didn't like being called on it.
