    Hello,
    I'm new here so id figure id ask. What city/town are you from? Im from Waterbury but not in the fire service yet, but hopefully will be very soon somewhere in the state. Have a good one and stay safe

    Hi Jimmy,
    I live in Hebron but work in West Hartford Ladder 3. I started my career in Southington and left after 4+ years to go to West Hartford (better pay & bennifits). -Keith

    Default Where I am From

    I live in Glastonbury and run out of Glastonbury Station 1. I also own Signal 50 Industries. Most likely Im going to Medic schol in the fall to make the transition from paid on call to career.

    SGNL50 are you waiting for your medic to apply to a career department, or have you tested around here already?

    I am currently volunteering on the Town of Vernon Fire Department. I am assigned to Tower 141. I am seeking a posistion as a career fire fighter.

    I've been sort of half *** over the past year or so. I had been out of the state and our of the country untill Jan of 2003. I just applied for Willimantic and I interviewed in for East Haddam a few weeks ago. Seeing as I live so close to East Hartford and Manchester I would like to be able to apply to both. Plus I work with EHFD with Signal 50.

    ya i just got my app for willimantic. Any ideas on how many guys they are gonna hire? Also if the send you to the academy or not?

    I would say most likely they will send new hires of to recruit school. As far as the number of new hires Im not sure. There was talk of Hartford hiring but as I hear now. They will be a hiring freeze for sometime.

    Im a member of Windham Center Volunteer Fire Deprtment. I believe Willimantic was looking to hire 6 but are only being allowed 4. Dont hold me to it but im pretty sure that is what im hearing...
