Also the wine glasses should be lined up with the knives on the right-hand side.

Lightbulb Are you sure it's a dinner for ONE?

    dinner for ONE.............

Dinner consisted of Cajun spiced catfish, (only because I couldn't get Snapper) very garlicy Ceasar salad, lemon/butter sauted very large shrimp and wild rice. Topped with a bottle of Berringer White Zinfindel wine.

    In a word:

    YUUUUMMMM

(in a two place setting.......... now tell me if something was missing from this picture....)
My guess is ........... Cheffie! and a certain displaced Canuck?

If I was more inclined, I would look back to see if our resident gourmet cheffie was planning a short holiday back east. But I'm really too lazy.

    My usual cop-out disclaimer:

But of course, I could be wrong!

To answer from latest to older... Sheri - nope Cheffie is still at home in SF.

Patty, you're right, I missed the serving tools for the seafood. I don't usually worry about that part which is why it was missed. And I did screw up on the alignment of the glasses - I'm left handed... {that's MY story and I'm sticking to it } As for the type of glasses... my bad - no excuse there. And I don't use {read do not possess} table cloth or place mats. Besides, then you have to wash the damn things. I think I have a couple really nice cotton napkins tho....(somewhere)

As for additional spices, pepper etc, I used more than enough Louisianna Hot, Worchester, soya and lemon juice souces, curry, garlic and fresh ground pepper, in the cook preparation that they should not be needed at the table. Also the salad was Ceasar, so again lots and lots of dressing was built in. Notice, I did not include salt as part of the ingredients....? I might use it occasionally (which I did not at any part of the prep for this meal) in the cooking part, but unless specifically requested by the guest(s) it will never be on my table.

Mom always taught me that when cooking the Cook always knows the correct amount of seasonings to use, and therefore it should not be required on the table.

By the way, the meal was excellent - other than the lack of company to share with. Still would have prefered to use Snapper than Catfish, but well ya know... When in Rome.....

WELL.. its a medically proven fact that ALL right-handed persons think using the LEFT side of the brain, and it follows that ALL left-handed persons think using the RIGHT side of the brain....

Therefore it stands to reason that only us LEFT-HANDERS are in our right minds..... whatever that is.

And besides... it it werent for us left-handers, who would be able to operate those right hand nut turners so well?

Actually if you had not ever seen me write or throw a ball, you would swear I was right-handed cuz I do pretty much everything right-handed, including shooting firearms. Although I have found that I can handle pistols very well and very accurately with either hand. But given a choice, I am a right-hand draw/shooter.

    Kiwi,

    I dunno...

But it does bring up the question... If you are left handed, and living "down-under", does that make you "normal?"
