Yeah; that and special blends of coffee in a 20 oz cup costs more than a gallon of gas.

It might depend on whether you listen to them on a CD or an LP.
I miss records.
And Gort was a mindless tool of the military-industrial complex, man!

I thought we were all cool and good looking. Sortof a pre-requsite to get on these fourms.
However, just the other day, I revived a thread in the Vehicle Extrication Fourm only to watch it die again without another post.
P.S. Vinyl rocks. I may just go into the basement and dig out my old turntable and spin up my old Streethart albums.SRFD905 - Serving since 1998

Well i just got back from a visit to malaysia, thus why i have only posted a couple of times in the past month or so.
My brothers office was right next to the local fire department and there were a couple of interesting things that i noted:
1. They have two giant apartement buildings for the firefighters and their families to live in permanantly. Someone also told me that after so many years service they can keep living in the apartement after they retire.
2. Their Hazmat suits are a blue, grey and safety orange camoflauge pattern! They also have some kind of other dress that is the same but i couldnt figure out what its specific reason was for.
No matter how hard i tried i couldnt get over the camoflauge.
"There are only two things that i know are infinite, the universe and human stupidity. And im not so sure about the former."
For all the life of me, i cant see a firefighter going to hell. At least not for very long. We would end up putting out all the fires and annoying the devil too much.

Here is a pic on their website, it looks like their forest fire blokes use it as well.

Ever wonder if the camo job is because they (the firefighters) might be required for "other services"? Not pointing fingers or rude suggestions here. The culture out that way is ... well... a little different in how they do and view things.

The link PattyV sent has a depiction of camo'd Firefighters and search dog's as part of a 'detecting unit'. I wonder if they are trained to sniff out spam?

I still like brightly colored Hawaiian shirts. I believe in some circle they call it "California camoflauge".
Paisley print is still pretty cool.
But once Jimmy Morrison of the Doors wore the shirt with big polka dots, fashion was never the same.
There was a time when my uncle who was in the Navy was getting me denim Navy bell bottoms and pea coats for a couple of bucks.
Back in the day...aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!
