I am not sure the difference between a turtle dove, and a regular dove. We have funny looking doves with a ring around their neck. I'm not sure how they walk. I know that ducks amuse me. They are God's original All Terrain Vehicles. They swim, dive, waddle on land, and fly, plus they seem to make good insurance sellers. I have a policy with the duck on the commercials.

A little elbow grease and a good cleanser like Zud will get those rings right out.

I have concluded that the rings are bruises caused by squirrels. It seems the squirrel mafia has some pretty serious ways to deal with birds that enter their territory and try to take from their (food) bank. The squirrels have already strong-armed the rabbits out of the neighborhood. The neighbor's dogs will not even try stop the squirrels. They have caved into the intimidation of the nut hurlers. So far, I have abated all attempts by the mafia at a take over of my house, but I have found reminders under the hood of my beloved antique Dodge pickup. I have stockpiled ammuntion for the inevitable showdown that will be in the future. I hope we can resolve the turf issue before the big bang reckoning of my ol' 20 gauge.. I am not a violent person, but will defend my home with all possible means.

This is more of a hiatus. It could last for several days, but then it comes roaring back.

    All is well.

I think I want a pet duck. I would like to teach it how to dive and find fish, then tell me where the fish are, so I can know where to catch fish. Mallard Fish Finder, nicknamed Hummingbird.. Just a thought. I found out that vienna sausages are actually "tube steaks." Makes sense to me. Most people I have asked, said that the best place to catch fish is usually with a hook in the corner of their mouths.

I think that is why God invented Cormorants. Not the yellow SAR helo, the black bird with the long neck.

Alas, SuperGlue will repair a broken heart, but only the plastic ones, which, in my opinion, aren't worth fixing.
My experience with the other kind has brought this series of repair procedures:
Step 1: Cleanse and disinfect the area with copious amounts of Alcohol. (preferrably a smooth bourbon. My favorite being Jim Beam Black Label.)
Step 2: Bed Rest for at least two days before attempting to associate with unaffected people in public places.
Step 3: After said rest, go directly to a public eating establishment, and compliment the staff for their service. (This step is crucial to building up immunity to further heartbreaks. It builds a firm self esteem when you can compliment others..) My favorite place would be an unhealthy fast food chain. Try not to sit near the playground.
Step 4: Communicate with friends and family, address the issues that caused the damage in the first place, and try to change the habits that led to the unfortunate event.
Step 5: Find an outlet for any remaining frustrations. Destruction of inanimate objects can free up the heart muscles and allow for clairity in the thought process.
Step 6: Usually by now, I have regressed into steps 1 and 2, therefore, I do not remember how to proceed.. But the time passage would have been sufficient to allow for the heart to function in a limited, but effective capacity.

Just trying to help, superchef. I am a big fan of your postings on this thread. They make me wish I could cook more than the normal "add boiling water and let sit for 3 minutes." I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to prepare a beef brisket?? Maybe something that would have a bold, but sweet taste?
BTW, my last big heartbreak, I destroyed two air-conditioners and a couch with a crowbar. (A friend of mine wanted to remove the aluminum for recycling. The couch was used for firewood.) No animals were harmed in the above altercation.. We actually found a classring that was stuck in the couch frame from the previous owners. They were happy to get it back.. All was well with the world again.
