Is this thing still going?
I'm amazed.

Nope. Said finger is wrapped in band-aids and should recover shortly, just in time to prepare dinner for the masses this weekend.

well george does admit when he is wrong, you got to give him that.
I think jerry needs to admit that he created a monster when he started this thread. Admitting the problem is the first step; the second step involves fumigation.

Any thread started with the words "firefighter safety" would have gotten you the "1 post" that you were looking for.

Its a brewary in Pottstown PA. Its supposed to be one of the oldest in the U.S. Instead of mixing your Black and Tan at the tap they bottle it already mixed so you can have it anytime.

My step-Dad is British and I can remember him making up his own "Black and Tan", but it was done with Guinness and an ale (often Smithwicks);
www.ivo.se/guinness/bnt.htmlThe answer depends on who you ask. The all-Guinness Black & Tan is Harp's Lager and Guinness. (Harp's is brewed by Guinness at Dundalk). Many consider the classic Black & Tan to be Bass Pale Ale and Guinness. (To some Irish, they appreciate the fact that the Irish comes out on top!) However, Bass Ale is not as available in Ireland as it used to be, and either Harp or Smithwicks is generally used. However, there are many variations involving a stout or porter and another lighter coloured beer, either lager or ale.
A half-and-half is often just another name for a Black & Tan. However, in many North American Irish pubs, the Bass/Guinness combination is called a Black & Tan, while the Harp/Guinness combination is called a Half-and-Half.
To quote Brendan E. Molloy b.molloy@ic.ac.uk: according to "The Guinness Drinking Companion" by Leslie Dunkling:
Black and Tan = Guinness and Mild
Half and Half = Mild and BitterIf you don't do it RIGHT today, when will you have time to do it over? (Hall of Fame basketball player/coach John Wooden)

What I get is Yinglings version of the Guinness and Bass. I drink both but its nice to be able to open a bottle and get a similair taste.
