22:00 last night we get a call for a grass fire.. which is odd, because there is snow on the ground. We pick our way through the ice fog to find a field about 155 acres full of large round straw bales. Not nicely stacked in one place, but spread across the whole field. All of them burning. The landowner didn't want to collect them, so he thought he'd just burn them.... Our county has a zero tollerance for burns without permits so we kept warm by pulling the bales apart and soaking them down... for about 4 hours... Tempurature was in the teens (F).... Pressure gauges frozen, hose frozen. Our drinking water was nice and cold..

Our neighbouring department got called to a 2 semi head on while we were playing with our bales, and as we listened, the police reported 3 more cars were added to the mix before they got the road shut down.

Surely, the rest of the day will be quiet.

Weather was awesome. Like a summer day in Calgary. Cool in the morning, warm in the afternoon. Still managed to get a sunburn.

Icecream: Chocolate of course... why mess with perfection.

    How about potato chip flavors...

My personal favorite is dill pickle... followed closely by ketchup.

If you don't like the weather in KC, just wait 5 minutes, it will change.

Funny how people say that EVERYWHERE! hehehe

Fav ice cream ... hmmmmm ..... chocolate chip I guess. Or Vanilla with Hershey's Chocolate Syrup.

My sister's fav ice cream has always been Tiger. I didn't know it was just a Western Canada thing.

I love Dill Pickle chips. ****es me off that you can't get Old Dutch Dill Pickle chips in the 2-bag box anymore

BBQ are good too, and Sour Cream & Onion.

    Ketchup ... UGH!

    Lays or Old Dutch?

Sour cream and onion are pretty good but my favorite has to be jalapeno chips. Brand does make a difference though.

You put ketchup on your chips? That's just weird.

What we've got here is an artificial ketchup flavoring...

    I forgot about socks.
But I have to say without hesitation that my feet are their happiest when I'm wearing Golden Toe.

I have a Seiko for dressy occasions and I have a Harley Davidson made by Bulova for daily wear. Both have been very good time pieces for me.

Watch: some shinny thing that looks good and i think was expensive; given to my by my brother on my birthday and i have already managed to put a few scratches in the face.

Underwear- Boxers; cotton ones of any kind, cant go back to satin boxers or briefs.

    Jeans- ah... The denim variety?

chips- Red Rock Deli: Honey, Soy and Roast Chicken

Ice cream- Any type of vanilla... or... Bean (kidney i think ) flavoured. Dont judge it till you try it!

T shirts- My ex-girlfriend gave me one that says 'sluts (heart) me'. I like that one, not cause its true, just cause its funny.

socks- of the cotton variety. it depends too much on what im wearing. Yes i do colour coordinate my socks to the pants or shirt im wearing.
"There are only two things that i know are infinite, the universe and human stupidity. And im not so sure about the former."

For all the life of me, i cant see a firefighter going to hell. At least not for very long. We would end up putting out all the fires and annoying the devil too much.

    Funny story about matching socks.

One of the salesmen that work for my day job company, once told me: Always match your socks with your pants! Always Always. Well funny thing is: it was a Friday and he was wearing white socks & blue jeans. I found it funny.

But then again I AM WEIRD .

    Default Safe Socks

My washer must eat socks but gets full before it can finish the other one. Where the hell do they go to? I haven't found a pile of washer poop yet with sock skeletons. I think it's a conspiracy and the dryers in on it.

Ha! I thought I fixed them and solved the problem. Buy all the same style in just black and white. All the black socks in one drawer and all the white in the other drawer. Only decision is black day or white day. Work or play.

Then just to confuse the two appliance sock eaters I throw just one of each color into the washer.

They got me back. Two different colors in....matching pair out.

I can't wait for summer and no socks.

I tried to answer this one earlier, but I had to run. (NO - did NOT HAVE the RUNS! )

Why would anyone put ketchup on their chips, unless you were referring to French fries? (or would that be Freedom fries? )

Underwear? boxers for this kid. brand name is not so important as what funky colours they might be.

Most of the time I wear a Timex Expedition dual display digital/analog. Currently though I've been wearing an Armitron digital/analog. Its a bit more dressy than the Timex.
