FIRE CAUSES $80,000 IN DAMAGES -- A structure fire in southwest Orem ended quickly Thursday evening with no injuries but $80,000 in damages.

Orem Fire Battalion Chief Don Rieske said the fire was reported at 5:09 p.m. by the occupants of 628 W. 580 South. The fire was contained to the second floor of the building.

Rieske said firefighters were able to put the blaze out quickly when they arrived, but the second level of the building sustained fire and heavy smoke damage.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
