FIREFIGHTER JAMES RATCLIFF, 22, OF THE HUDSON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT JUST A FEW MILES NORTH WEST OF MONTREAL, WAS KILLED IN A TRAINING ACCIDENT ON THE LAKE OF 2 MOUNTAINS LAST NIGHT, june 6th, 2005.
FIREFIGHTER RATCLIFF APPARENTLY FELL FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT'S MOTOR BOAT & STRUCK HIS HEAD WHICH MAY HAVE STRUCK THE BOAT'S PROPELLER.
HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LAKESHORE GENERAL HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD A FEW MOMENTS AFTER HIS ARRIVAL.
AN INTERNAL INVESTIGATION IS UNDER WAY TO DETERMINE THE EXACT CAUSE OF DEATH.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Family and Friends of Firefighter James Ratcliff, as well as the Hudson Volunteer Fire Department.
