    Default Legionella

I work for an Industrial Fire Department. Once a month I cycle the water out of the truck tank, about 400 gallons. I normally spray it out to test the nozzles at the same time. We keep our truck in a heated fire house. I was on vaction in feb and my replacement did not cycle the water. So when I came back to work I cycled it.
About a week or so later I was in the hospital with pnemonia and strep throat, then I tested positive for Legionella. The water in the fire tank was tested and it was found to have a high lever or Legionella also. I was determiend that the stagnent water and warm fire house was a perfect growing area.

And when i was testing the nozzles, that was releasing it into the air in mist form.
