    Default 1199a

We got the questions just over two weeks ago, but still have not received the 1199A update. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is this abnormal?

If your department has received a grant in the past, you probably won't get the 1199a update notification.

We received the 1199a with our 2003 Fire Act Grant, and even though we also received a 2003 Fire Prevention Grant and a 2004 Fire Act Grant, we didn't get the 1199 with those.
    Smile....it ain't all that bad!!!!!!!

If the information stayed the same as in previous years they won't ask for the update prior to announcement, but it will show up at some point. They require the form before funds can be distributed, but not before the public announcement for repeat awardees. They ask for it for first-timers just for due diligence so they don't make an announcement on someone that's not eligible.

If you haven't been awarded previously, make the phone call. Every now and again someone gets missed getting updated in the database as needing to submit it. Better to err on the safe side. Not that you won't get the award, just shortens the time to announcement.
