If that does not work try this and scroll to the bottom where it says "NYFD responds to sticky situation"

What doesn't NYFD get. Hope Snapple was nice to them.

Hmm. Water freezes at 32 degrees Farenheit. It's 80 degrees Farenheit in NYC in June. What do you mean it's melting?

Now you know why Snapple costs so much: stupid marketing campaigns.

For some reason this reminds me of the episode from the old "WKRP in Cincinnati" TV show where they dropped the turkeys from the helicopter...LOL

I wonder what they dispatched it as...

"Engine 5, Ladder 3, Batallion 6. Respond to the intersection of Union Square Park and 17th street for a melting popsicle."

    or

"Engine 5, Ladder 3, Batallion 6. Respond to the intersection of Union Square Park and 17th street for a sticky substance in the roadway."

Can you imagine what the FF's were thinking when they found out that they were going to clean up after a popsicle? That's what janitors are for, not FF's....geeze!

It just goes to show you that we are not just 'firefighters'. That term includes not only fighting fires, rescue and EMS, but it now also includes us as "Society's' Janitors". If they don't know who to call or are taught to call 911 in any emergency(nobody know what constitutes an emergency anymore), the FD arrives to quell any situation.

What you mean that we are supposed to fight fires? I always just thought that was a name, not what we were.

I thought NYPD was in charge of haz-mat. Are we sure this popcicle wasn't a terrorist's ploy? The cops should have been there to be in charge -- making sure there was no criminal activity.
