You really got my hopes up. I thought that we were going to be able to exchange some of our fire fighters for some new ones. There's a couple who aren'y worth the powder it would take to blow them up.

    Oh well...

You can come to SF anytime Patty. I'm sure if I took you by the "alleycats" station here, they would love to have you.

    Default Firefighter exchange

There are some links around here somewhere. When this subject was previously discussed I seem to recall that Calgary and somewhere in Saskatchewan were mentioned.

Calgary does participate in the exchange program. You could probably visit their website to obtain further information, or at least find contacts that might prove helpful.

You're in luck. I belong to the Strathmore RURAL Fire Department.

Pay isn't very good (paid per call)
We're not very busy (1 or 2 per week)
    Accomodations are not included

But, we are close to the Rocky Mountians (Search Banff)

It gets down to about 45-50F. But the climate is still very moderate. Most of the time, jeans and a sweater will get you by. The snow is about a two hour drive away. The beach about a ten minute walk. Although I am still in love with New Zealand, nexy year will be a toss up between NZ again or Australia.

    so when are you coming?

um... how about in a couple of years, need to get uni out of the way first. Then it looks like i might go work for my brother again in Malaysia for a bit... never know though, he often takes trips overseas and he would take me along. (I was supposed to go to Banda Aceh with him on a business trip a week before the tsunami hit and i was supposed to be in Thailand when it did hit. Luckily the business trip got postponed.)
