Default Question regarding NR EMT- B Testing, need help

First off wanna thank anyone taking the time to read this.

I have hit a brick wall in my search for a job.
I am a state certified fire fighter (Florida)
and will be taking my NR EMT-B (which covers our state exam as well)
    on thursday @ 8 am.

I need my results by August 1st in order to get the position I am currently seeking and have passed all the test for up to this point.

Does anyone know of any way to speed up the process to recieve NRemt or state of florida results?
Pay money? drive to the office it self.

    any help is appreciated.

I want this job so bad and this is the only thing stopping me from riding on that engine.

    Thanks.

You should be able to get it on-line very soon after you test. My results were posted about a week after the test.

If I remember correctly, my results took about a month to get back. There is no way to speed up the process. From what I understand, you used to be able to pay $15 after taking the test and it would be graded on the spot. You would then know if you passed, but it would take the regular amount of time to get your paperwork processed and sent back to you.

Don't spend all of your time worrying about if you passed or not. If you feel you did well, then you probably did. You may or may not have your results in time. Sounds like your cutting it too close to me.

    Default thanks for the help

Yeah, it is def. cutting it close but I wasn't even expecting to be testing for the county until september. I would say I have 85% chance of being hired so long as this paperwork all works out. I won't be dissapointed if it doesn't because I can still be hired just 3 months later.

    Thanks for the advice.
Guess I better say my prayers with a smile tonight.

When I took my national it was December 22. After all the holidays it was February 16 before I was able to get mine off line. Everyone else I know that has tested had them in 2 to 3 weeks. Good luck let us know what happens

Im a bit worried about the 4th coming up but we will see.
The word now is they may hold my scores and hold them until the next hiring date which is 3 months away and then offer me the job then possibly without having to re-test me unless i choose to.

We'll see, gunna have to keep praying extra hard before i go to bed everynight ha.

    Thanks again guys.

In my experiences witht the National Registory it usually kind of sort of depends on the time of the year, because typically at the end of college semisters is the slowest times of the year (Dec-Middle of Jan. and end of March.) So if you are taking it now you should know by Aug. 1st. Typically the National Registory says "it takes about 4 weeks to recieve your results by mail" But like someone else said you can get your results on the National Registory Web-site at nremt.org this usually take about 2 weeks. So at least you will have something to show them because that will tell you only "pass/fail" and that is better than nothing.

    Good Luck that test sucks
