I dont get it. Do you mean cheap as in stingy? If so not really. But i do know some very stingy pilots.

You mean cheap like the guy who doesn't want to chip in for station meals and then hovers around like a vulture after the meal? Never happens.

Isn't the phrase "Cheap Firefighter" redundant?

There was a guy on my former department who loaned his wife money to buy a car, but actually charged her interest on the money. He actually gave her a better rate than the banks, but I think that is pretty cheap.

Firefighters cheap? Nahh.... even though one of the favorite sayings of the fire service is "if it's free, it's for me!"

By the way... I'm not cheap... I'm priceless!

O.K...So I am going to get POUNCED on for this one, but here it goes (true story)...

Back in my early days I worked for a private ambulance service that was owned by a funeral home. I was also required to work for the funeral home. One of my duties was to clean and remove all flower debris from the back of the coach after the service. Let's just say there were a few ladies I dated that received very inexpensive bouquets. ***Stayback now cringing and ducking***

(Note: One always had to be careful NOT to accidently snag a "Grandma" ribbon with said flowers)

Flowers were as expensive then as they are now...
