I see you have a 3 followed by three 2's (3222). That is a significant milestone in the hallowed halls of Firehouse CR (and no worries about an exchnage rate either!) Dinner is at 8 pm CR.

Well you see Chief, where Rick had to pay the exchange on his 3000, you had to pay the GST (Canadian Goods & Services Tax). 3000 posts plus 7.5% GST is 3222.
SOOO happy 3000 CR!

Once again....the above views are my own and not that of my department. (And probably should not be construed as having any real meaning, whatsoever!)

If you sit and read all of Cr's posts, you will see that he is truely the voice of reason. He offers valuable input and insight to a great deal of things.

Unlike so many of us, the content in the vast majority of CR's posts are of a higher quality. I'm quite sure I've never seen a "bump" or a "LMAO" post, or any copy/paste articles/jokes/fluff pieces.
Thanks for your sharing your unique sense of humor and your wisdom with us, my friend!September 11th - Never Forget

Ah; bittersweet my friends.
Bittersweet.
As much as I'd like to engage in more discussion, there really hasn't been a whole lot of discussion lately.
Chalk it up to summer.
Who knows; maybe some of us will hit 4000 by Christmas.
I am coming up on a thousand over at IACOJ.
Maybe we could all meet up over there!
Thank you for your thoughtful words.

MIKEY:We could talk about how much fun "consumer" fireworks are!
For a state that has cracked down on fireworks, the roadside stands were thick this year.
Plus, many communities had burn bans on, including our community and you could still hear the fireworks going off.
The wonders never cease to amaze me.

I especially like it when my car is plastered with spent bottle rockets etc.! Had a chance to have a brief little chat with the F.M..Seems he is a fan of the flatlander page.

Yeah; I got to talk to him last time he was in Galesburg. I'm hoping that we reconvene the rulesmaking committee for the zero interest loan program. Juli and I also talked about it, some. I think we could tweak that program a little bit.
We'll see.
I hope he isn't going to the flatlander page for news. It's been kind of enemic lately. I haven't been there too much. Lots of stuff going on.
Hopefully, it will get better in a month or two.

In florida it is illegal to posses or discharge (that is the way it is written) fireworks that leave the ground or "explode"....my question is this....How the heck can they sell them at these tents then?
