The US flagged oil tanker M/V PATRIOT, a ~700+ foot ship suffered a major engine room fire in 2002 and was written off as a Constructive Total Loss (techinal term for "totaled") all becuase of the lack of a 8" piece of seizing wire on the main engine.
Sheri, that explains the intial shutdown, what about the clutch issue?

Oh yeah, and apparently another ferry lost power, or partially lost power last night. (Different ferry, different run)
And some cancellations today on yet another ferry with mechanical problems.
I'll see what I can find tomorrow on it.September 11th - Never Forget
