We've merged some smaller cities into our department and have since been required to re-cert on the different apparatus, especially the separate towers. Following the IFSTA manual lets one truck breeze through the course, while two others can, in no way, make a couple of other things-- namely the serpentine and the alley dock.

One of the training lieutenants recalls from the "old days" formulas that were used based on wheel base, vehicle length/width, axle length, etc to calculate course testing dimensions.

It's now my project to find out. I've been searching the internet with little result. Anyone have any clues??!!
