Re: What is with People Today?
If I were a mamenber of the local constabulary, I would have responded. The minute she started giving me crap. I would let her wear a pair of silver bracelets and give her a ride to the stationhouse!!"The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."

I laughed so hard, I think I may need 911.
I did learn something though....I didn't know you can request the color of the police officer you wish to respond to your problem. You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Lol, here's another one:

I WANT MY CHEESEBURGER DONE RIGHT!
Lol, that's classic. Gotta commend the call-taker though, she handled that pretty well. Too many people are calling 911 for stupid things this day and age and we need more people like her to tell them how it is...
"Protect you from what? You got the wrong cheeseburger. Is this cheeseburger harmful or something?"

Not to sound stereotypical, but she sounded like she was black until the end lol.
I'd have sent every black police officer, firefighter, and EMT I could find in the area to assist
"Captain 1 to control, retone this as a structure and notify the fire chief...."
Safety is no accident.

If it wasn't an actual call to 911, you could almost think it was Wanda Sykes on Crank Yankers.
There should be a list of topics that even 911 dispatchers are allowed to berate thier callers for. This and the call where the woman's 12 year old is backtalking her would definitely be on it.

Hey, the lady wanted her taco
I would have definitely seen to it that she got to sample some tacos...the ones prepared by the culinary experts at the city jail.

I'd have to add that people worldwide can be weird.
Now, however, they have the technology to express their inanities in more interesting ways to an ever widening audience.

Wow...that is insane. I have a hard time even calling 911 to get a deputy when i'm in a fender bender, just cuase it's not an 'emergency,' imo. (Well, the ONE time -- not like it's a common occurance :-p) Thank god it was just a cheeseburger -- if she went to Pizza Hut and got a pizza she probably woulda called the Army for a whole pizza not cooked right. She just came from picking up her kids at tae kwan do for cryin out loud...lol. People are insane.
