Born in 1946 Mr. Fincannon had served with the City of Brooksville for 38 years and was just two years short of retirement. A portion of that time he was a career firefighter before taking a transfer to be director of public works. Even as the Public works Director he stayed on as a reserve firefighter and rose to the rank of Reserve Fire Chief. He was also a veteran of the US Army.
Mr. Fincannon received a fire department escort to the cemetary by units from Brooksville Fire Department, Hernando County Fire Department and Spring Hill Fire and Rescue. He was buried at the National Cemetary in Bushnell Florida.
