If you are looking for a job as a firefighter in the State of Florida, then look no further!

Welcome to the Employment Testing Cooperative! We are a group of twelve fire departments in Southwest Florida seeking exceptionally talented, experienced and dedicated firefighters to serve the residents of our fast-growing communities.

Located in coastal Lee County, Florida, the fire departments of the ETC have mutually agreed on one application and one testing process for the positions of firefighter, firefighter/emergency medical technician and firefighter/paramedic. By applying for a firefighter position through the ETC, you will gain access to job openings from twelve fire departments on Florida's tropical west coast.

The testing process consists of the following: submitting a completed application, completing a written general aptitude test and passing a physical ability test. For more information, click on the Frequently Asked Questions button to the left.

The fire departments involved in this cooperative testing process include Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District, City of Cape Coral Fire, Rescue & Emergency Management, Estero Fire Rescue, Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District, Iona McGregor Fire District, Lee County Port Authority Airport Fire Department, Lehigh Acres Fire Rescue District, Matlacha - Pine Island Fire Control District, North Fort Myers Fire Control and Rescue Service District, San Carlos Park Fire Protection and Rescue Service District, Sanibel Fire & Rescue District, South Trail Fire District. Each of these agencies is growing, and we anticipate tremendous increases in the demand for personnel in the near future. As the populations of Southwest Florida continue to increase, so do our needs for qualified firefighters.

Are you really satisfied with your career? Why not become a firefighter?
Maybe it's a career you've never thought about, or didn't know how to pursue, but becoming a firefighter may be one of the most fulfilling and challenging moves you'll ever make.

The fire service is composed of a diverse group of outstanding people, characterized by their ability, commitment, perseverance and determination. They share that special something, giving back in many unselfish ways to the community.

Applying for a job in the fire service can be tedious and tiresome, but not through the Employment Testing Cooperative! By applying for a fire service job through the ETC, you'll have access to job openings with twelve fire departments in Southwest Florida- - most of which are currently hiring qualified firefighters, emergency medical technicians or paramedics.
