Tonight Mrs. Gonz and I had the pleasure of dining with Steamer and his wife, Pam.
Steve and Winchester, his Chocolate "slab of Lab" had to recertify their arson skills at the Maine State Police Training Center in Alfred, and he, Pam and Winnie were driving through Marlborough on their way home to Chillicothe, Ohio.
We had a delicious dinner and a few Guinness' at the 109 Lakeside Pub.
Steve and I "talked shop" while Pam and Trish found out they had an awful lot in common.
Steve, Pam and Winnie: Thanks for dinner and your company!![]()

Dinner with Steamer....
"The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."

Gonzo did they find out what they had in common was that when firefighters get together all we talk about is firefighting. Lol. I never thought about it till the other night we went to dinner with a friend of mine and his wife. I swear Brandy (his wife) told mine “I see we have a lot in common, all my husband talks about is the fire department and your husband is talking about the fire department. So that they can talk to each other we can talk about everything else.” We all had a good time but you said that and made me think about it.

Gonz, thanks to you and the Mrs. for a very enjoyable evening. It was a long training week, and the break was needed...badly. You both made a long week much more enjoyable.

The Buckeye Crunch is real stuff, and pretty good to boot. I wouldn't give ya nuttin' that would cause ya any problems....on purpose.
Speaking of causing problems, I was gonna put somethin' else in the box before I gave it to ya, but the little sucker got loose before I could get the box taped down. They're quicker than they look.
Unfortunately, time didn't allow me to venture that direction. I may take a ride that way yet though. There's a lot of time left this summer. That would make a pretty nice ride on the motorcycle as long as it's not raining, that is.
