Yes, I am scheduled for the 22nd for their written. I was interested in knowing if this examination was to fulfill existing open positions or used to create a list for future positions.

Danbury FD
I believe that they will be hiring 6 replacement as soon as possible and they are in the process of building Eng. co. 26, so that will require 12 positions. I believe those 12 will come on line end of year /early 2006.
From what I understand... this is the test to take.. even if they put you on the list. DFD expanded big time in the late 70's early 80's many retirements on the horizan.

The way its written on the letter for the written exam it seems that they will send you after a job offer is offered? It says "Before being accepted as a Danbury Firefighter, candidates.................... .....must..................... ..pass..................the... .............CPAT." lol whatever that means.
But the amount of firefighters that they will be hiring is pretty nice to hear.
with the 75.00 exam fee i wonder how many are on to take the exam.Last edited by spyonline; 08-10-2005 at 03:46 PM.

I would hope a current card within the last 6 months will work..The number they are hiring is a nice thing too... good luck to all that are taking it!
