Am curious to hear from depts running Quints as to what one mechanical component/area on your quint has been most problematic? To keep this post simple please respond listing the component/area of pblm along with the Make/Model/Year of your Quint.

    Thanks!

    '00 E-One CII 95' LT Quint:

Problem areas: Front cab face mounted Ocilazor lights, AMPS generator, door latches.

    '04 E-One Typhoon 50' Tele-Boom Quint:

Problem areas: CAFS filtration system and door latches.
Stay low and move it in.

    Be safe.

If the problem is the assembly will ocsilate but the bulb wont light, the problem is the ground. Replace the original ground wire with a heavy-duty one. That should take care of it.

The only problem weve had with our 2002 Pierce 75 HD with Dash cab was the hydraulic pump for the aerial was leaking. Problem has been resolved.

    Unhappy

Our 1993 75' Pierce Telesquirt is really heavy on one axle and so we have the weight issue. Then since we went with the telesquirt, it is very light on its allowed tip load. No aerial should be 250 lbs. If we had ordered a mid-mount we could have saved several tons of weight and gotten a stick with a higher tip load.
