This is what I just got word on. No go for tomorrow and may be not til the week of 8/21. The language in last years bill is still hanging up the red tape at OMB. The funds are supposedly free to go except for one last "Review". This is the language that they added last year. You have to love it....
Did anyone else hear anything?

Did you mean 8/10 or 8/12. In years past the announcements have always been on Fridays.....

I was just told that chances for this week are slim to none. The NOFA is still tied up in the OMB.
No idea when they might start. Maybe it's time for 20,000+ depts to start calling our congressmen.

I think you are right... I have a great liason (Staffer) to my Senator and he has a hot line to DHS. He has told me that she is fully aware of the hang up at OMB. She has been a huge support factor for us on the Fire Act Grant. Lets she how much pressure really comes about... I know the liason was hot yesterday about the hang up at OMB.
