I was gonna say the SPS myself, but sounds like these are the Ferrara Collapse Pieces. Check the Apparatus Forums for pictures. They're in there somewhere.

The term Supertruck was written in a news article. They are basically collapse rescue rigs. I am not sure what their official designation is....but pretty sure it isnt "SuperTruck"

All they are is the collapse support apparatus that we just got. Basicly they carry a ton of shoring and some specailized equipment for the SOC members to use at a strutural collapse. Nothing more nothing less. They aren't staffed however the companies they are in quarters with have to maintain an extra chauffuer to drive it in the event it is called for.

Just a note on the "super pumper", not the "super truck", that rig is here in Bay City, Michigan. It is owned by a local businessman that has an extensive antique apparatus collection and is about to open a new museum to the public. I have seen it sitting outside one of his buildings in the past. I believe it has been restored and will be on display.
"edit"-I found an article about the museum.http://www.detnews.com/2005/metro/05...B06-254171.htm

The "Super Truck" title belonging to a particular company is Tower Ladder Co. 120 in Brooklyn. They have the Superman S on the bottom of the bucket and "Nobody does it better" on the side of the aerial. Atleast on their old one they did when I rode up there.
Stay low and move it in.

    Be safe.

I've beed told by several folks (none of which have an authority to know ) of a story where the truck had the slogan "Nobody Does It Better" on their rig... And a neighboring company responded by painting "We're Nobody" on theirs. Would this be Ladder 120?

Wasn't the super pumper actually two rigs. The pumper was on a semi-trailer and there was a separate tender. I saw this years ago and they had to supply the unit from a fire boat.

The only part of the system that still is operational is the Satellite units
