Massive truck explosion shatters Utah highway
Associated Press August 11, 2005
SALT LAKE CITY - A truck carrying 16,000 kilograms of explosives crashed and exploded Wednesday, leaving a huge crater in a Utah highway and injuring at least two people.
The driver was able to get out and warn other motorists away before the truck exploded. But a passenger in the truck cab and another motorist were rushed to hospitals with injuries, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said. It wasn't immediately clear what their conditions were or how many other people might have been injured.
The explosion in Spanish Fork Canyon, about 96 kilometres south of Salt Lake City, shut down Highway 6 in both directions and damaged nearby rail lines. Several small fires in the hills above the accident scene were believed to have been triggered by flying debris.

Saw the oicture in the paper this morning - wow, what a crater! Hard to believe nobody was killed.
I bet the driver went for some clean underwear!
Ya dont suppose he had a shirt with "IF YOU SEE ME RUNNING!!!!!!"-I have learned people will forget what you said,
-People will forget what you did,
-But people will never forget how you made them feel!
