Default "Recoil" Flashlight - anyone use one?

OK, I see the ads, but I would like to hear from anyone who has used one, particularly in a smoky interior. Help me decide if I need one.

Yes you do need one. I have one and love it. It beats the living snot out of any other LED light on the market. Very bright, very white light, and it seems to pierce smoke very, very well. It's worth every single penny you'll pay. One use and you will know why. BUY IT!!!! NOW!!! hah...no I'm not a dealer..but it is well worth it.

I've had one (the Little Ed) for a couple weeks and so far, I like it. The only smoke it's been used in was an exterior vegetation fire, so can't say how it works inside, but seemed much better than my helmet-mounted UK.

I have 2 pelican 3c flashlights. 1 is the xenon bulb the other is the recoil L.E.D. The L.E.D. is bright and last a long time. Good light for up close work. The other does much in the smoke and had a more pinpoint beam. If I had to buy just one I would buy the xenon bulb light. That is what I keep on my gear. The L.E.D. light is for personel use in my vehichle or around the house.
