    Thumbs down Slow newsday" Webteam"?

    http://cms.firehouse.com/content/art...Id=46&id=43927

Why was this story even posted? The kid isnt a firefighter,His Father is,and
some of the family has Police background.
I'am sure the Father feels bad enough with the trouble his son faces now,
But I guess that doesnt matter for the sake of having a story to put on the
    news page.

got to agree, so the family member of a FDNY and NYPD member committed a rape. the fact that he has a family connection to NYC emergency services is irrelavent.

shame on the NY Post for even mentioning it, they are only doing it to sell more papers.

WT, you guys shouldn't be fanning these flames, it really doesn't belong here.

No relevance to the fire service. That's pretty "Crappy" news work by the New York Post...

The reason for the last paragraph is because this is the only thing that the puke eaters at that newspaper can find to throw at the department.

Sad, Sad, and pathetic. Someone should make a newspaper, find out the names of the top people of the paper and publish all public criminal records of them and their families.

The real reason that they bash fd's is because they are jelous of our jobs.

I agree with you about the NYP. But I think the original intent of this thread is to try to figure out why the WT thought it was so all-fired important to reprint this slanted and jaded piece of crap article.

No reason for all the crap in that story and it should not have been posted on FH.com...My third cousin twice removed had his brakes repaired on his friends car after he went to the ocean to fish for smelt, has nothing to do with anything. They must not have sold an ad space so they fill it with crap!

Indeed. Reading it over one is unable to find the point as it relates to the fire service. If the kid did what he is accused of he is a mutt. Yet, just because his father is a firefighter doesn't mean that this is a story connected with the fire service. It's not arson!

You folks are right. Not sure why that got posted, but its being deleted as we speak. We get a lot of stories in on the feed so that one shouldn't have gone live by any regard.

Keep in mind that story or any related to it never made the home page, it was only on the news page where the bulk of incoming stories go automatically but it did pass our screening so we'll ensure it doesn't happen again. No reason other than a newer staff member who didn't realize the difference just yet so please accept our apologies.

Before ya need a 'How dare they...' there's always an easy explanation.

    Thanks
    WebTeam

P.S. Folks, we don't read every forum every day. Please report a post or PM us if its something like this that sticks out and needs to be addressed sooner than later. Thanks.
