Buddy your sense of humor is warped! Nothing like conflicting, malicious rumors to fire people up! I know it was a joke, and I can take one just like anybody else but, you should consider the consequences of your actions. That wasa cruel thread title to post!

Come on people get a grip. IT WAS JOKE!!! I hope no one really took that serious. Do you really think if something like that was brewing we would hear about it in a firehouse.com forum first????

I think we all know it is a joke but, just look at the number of views it is getting and you can see why it is causing everyone to freak out. This is not April Fools Day.

It obviously separates the Intelligent form the 2 cards short of a 52 deck. As bsfd121 said, You would not have seen such a thing in this forum. You would have read it on the Firehouse house web page in large bold print.
For those of you making such post as you better not sleep with your eyes open,
Boo Hoo to you. Your post are not any more intelligent than mine and I feel very sorry for you to post such a thing. For those of you that are smart enough to realise a joke, have a very nice day. Just trying to show a little humor. But due to the fact that some of our firefighting comrads cannot take a joke. I will not post a thing again that will fly over and ruffle your hair.

    Default Humor

I know people are on edge ... I am one of them. We haven't even received our 1199A so many of you are further ahead than we are. I think that sometimes a little comic relief is necessary and that's all THEONLYCHIEF was trying to provide for us. Being that there are only 11 posts in this thread, I don't think too many people were really upset or taking it seriously, especially when you consider how many people looked at it.

THEONLYCHIEF ~ Thank you for trying to provide the humor we all need to get through this stressful time. Don't take the replies to heart.

I thought it was a good one too. I knew it was a hoax when I saw it but I had to look. I may go to the off duty forum and post a thread titled free beer! I bet that will get a lot of lookers too. Lighten up everyone.

TOC, mea culpa. Just taking my own self too seriously lately! Maybe after these grants do get announced I can find my sense of humor again; " just where did I hide that today, anyway!"

I am new, but have been reading your posts. I have received an email from a VA State Senator. This is a direct quote "I recently heard from FEMA that they hoped to be able to make the announcements regarding who would be receiving the grants soon. Iím hoping for next month." Please do not shoot the messenger. I will try to keep posting if I receive another one. Members of his staff was sitting in the back of the room at the FEMA meeting I went to when FEMA came to VA to tell us how to apply for the grants. They handed out their cards at the end of the meeting. I would love to know exactly what is going on. Everyone needs this money to be released!

o.k. i meant that jokingly...i can take a joke... but when that post hit was also the same day that we found out that our county had cut our budget from 41,000 a year down to 15,000. so reading that was just not at the right time...as an all vol. fire dept. with no city or town to provide funding for us we do count on this grant program to help us out...so i am sorry if i offened anyone...

    41,000 a year down to 15,000.
Ouch, that will leave a mark. Drop a line if you need anything on other programs, I've been bugging the governor's office for some info. Besides the other stuff in Brian's Big Bag of Funding Tricks.

    Exclamation Last years thread

Day late and a dollar short. This was started last year 2005. Some took it serious and others took it as a joke. But don't pay any attention to this thread this year 2006
