WooHoo
Looks like we were awarded as well. Great for our Township, citizens and our
department!
New pumper to replace our 1978 pumper!
Thanks to everyone for all their support on the forums and to DHS for making this program available to us.
As of 0400 CST, I can't log in to the grant management site...must be down for a short time to populate the database.
Best of luck to everyone this year!--

Well, my sources weren't 100% on everything...vehicle info is out there. So, I'd suggest, as someone in another thread mentioned getting someone to screen your calls if your getting a truck (or making very large purchases!).
And, ask them to contact you via email, until they send you a packet to look over and YOU can schedule a meeting.
Other than that, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone that received funding...My own department was on the list (Yeah, New Tanker!) as are a little more than a handful of others I worked on. Have fun thinking of all the Federal dollars will be buying...and WAY TO GO everyone!Alana Tomlin Denton

Thanks
This forum is the best primer for the do it yourself grant writer. BC..thanks for all the good info on here. I was going to send you the info, but ran into a wall with time and didnt get it to you..but we were funded in the first round for $225,000 for a pumper. Its my departments 2nd grant in this program, and the 9th that I have written. Maybe I should become a grants writer, I know that being a fire chief and an English Teacher surely helps.

You're quite welcome. I'm glad my postings are helping and not hindering. Actually I'm glad to know someone's actually reading my ramblings and making sense of them.
And watch out for that wall, I know it's Southern cousin real well, I run into it all of the time.
