    Default British Weather WTF???

Here are a couple of Photos I took...the first was taken at work yesterday afternoon.... don't take no notice of the detail, but look at the weather....30c/86f, unbroken sunshine. The next photo I took from my house just a minute ago... today peaked at 16c/61f after awaking to a thunderstorm at about 7 am this morning it has been raining and drizzling all day....do you often get two days so different where you live?...I mean temperature as well as rain?

They published a survey of World Cities last week.... London is getting hotter quicker than any other city in the world (speed of increase over last 30 years)
we are seeing 100f temperatures every few summers now and they think it will be every summer within a decade or so, 7 out of the 10 hottest summers EVER in the UK have been in the last decade...but then days like today come along and it is if we are stuck in November.

Maybe this explains why the Brit's are so obsessed with the weather?

Around these parts, thats just "another day in the neighbourhood" LOL. It was stupid hot 'n muggy yesterday and today its been cool and wet - rained much of the day so far. But I am told that's just "DC Weather for ya".

Almost like being back home: if ya dont like the weather in Victoria, cross your arms, blink your eyes and click your heels twice and say "There's no Place like Home". Because in that time the weather had probably changed at least twice.. maybe three times, butcha missed it cuz your eyes were closed eheheehhee.

Steve, the saying around Chicago has always been, "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes. It'll change."

I think that's true of many areas.

The midwest is currently in the grips of one of its worst droughts on record. I heard earlier this week that we are 10.5" (26.67cm) short of average rainfall since April 1. We got just over 0.5" yesterday, which was the heaviest single rainfall we've had around here in over 6 months. Hot this year, too.

Yes and no. We get rain/sun/rain/sun/rain...sometimes all in one day.

As for temp changes, only in the winter. It will be sunny and 80, then a cold front drops in and we have rain (lots) followed by say 40. Within 2 or 3 days, its back to 80. It never stays cool here for long.

Its a real ******er being where we are on the atlantic...and we get the best in the South East...Scotland Ireland and Northern England get some real crap while we are sometimes basking in 85 degrees...(Ask Mart)

Looking at the satelitte images, whatever comes up the Atlantic, across and down always just manages to 'get' the UK....damn I wish we were a couple of hundred miles further south... 21 miles off the coast of Portugal would be good...instead of 21 miles of the coast of France!!!
