    Then there's that old joke....
"how do you get a date with a trombone player? Euphonium!"
    Sorry, had to do that!

    Thumbs up Indeed, I do...

Been playing the git fiddle (guitar to some) about 11 years. Can play the drums pretty good, but I wouldn't say I am a "drummer". Been teaching myself the piano, but it's kinda hard seeing as I don't have a piano.
Nice thread topic, I hope I don't kill it!

Main instruments: Tuba and Bass Guitar
Also: Trombone, Baritone, Trumpet, Mellophone, Piano, Tenors, and Snare.

Tuba I marched in high school was a Kanstul convertible marching tuba, very good sounding horn! Right at $7,000 a piece, completely hand made. One of them could blow 3 comodphones out of the water in volume and quality. 42" tall when sitting on the ground, with a 21" diameter bell, and silver. Absolutely every tuba players dream. I got it straight out of the box, and was the only person to play it until i graduated. My concert tuba was a rotary 4 valve Yamaha, I forget what model, but I was the only person to ever play it, until I graduated. I got it straight out of the box Played well, but nothing touched that Kanstul.

My bass guitar is a Fender P-Bass, don't play too much, just when I feel like it pretty much.

Below is a picture of two of the Kanstuls, with me on the right.

    Default Used to...

I used to play trumpet, and I was pretty good. I hadn't touched it in several years, so I sold it last summer.
One day I'd like to play the guitar.

DCI... OH YES... I went to the Finals in 04, in Orlando, FL. Every year for the last six years I've been to Night Beat, a DCI competition in NC. I got a letter my senior year of high school saying that the Cadets needed more tuba players, but I couldn't afford all the travel for camps. I love some DCI... My Kanstul above, is used by a handfull of corps. Next time finals are back down this way, I hope to make it.

I started playing the trumpet at secondary school (High School) when I was 11, moved on to the Tenor Horn and French Horn...gave it up whebn I left school. Used to play in a school band and a local area youth band in the early 80's.

I've played drums since I was In 6th grade and now use it as a hobby. I would like to learn Guitar/Bass/Piano in the future.

Bagpipes would be cool to learn.

I mainly play the sax, as that's what I played in high school, and I'm pretty good at it. I can also play any other single reeded instrument you can throw at me, flute too.
When it comes to brass or strings (besides piano) not a very good sound to the ears.

I was unusually good on Trumpet as a youth/teenager. Was a solo performer at my grade school graduation. In high school, I was in a regional travelling "rock band" and toured much of Canada playing with them. Wish I would have kept it up after high school, but neither my parents nor I could never afford to buy a horn back then.

Today I play a little guitar, and way back during college I taught myself a little piano. I would love to take that a little further, but now I cannot afford a good piano, and I can't bring myself to buy a cheazy keyboard.

I LOVE DCI! I marched in the Saginaires (from Saginaw, Michigan) in 82, playing Contra. We had a ton of fun, played all over the upper mid-west, won a couple shows, placed 30th at DCI in Montreal. The Cadets won that year, as they did again this year. I'd have to say my favorite corps is the Blue Devils, though, with the Cavaliers right behind. I also played tuba in marching and concert band, along with trumpet, baritone, french horn when needed. I now play bass guitar in a rock cover band.

Started with trumpet but switched to sousaphone/tuba.

DCI is a term we don't hear up here. What's it mean?

Yep, I play the pipes. Later today I'm playing AG at the funeral for a nine year old kid and I hope I can just hold myself together. This one will be rough...

I play clarinet, bass clarinet, and played a bit of baritone sax. Once I get 2 working thumbs I'll start practicing on my bagpipe chanter. My goal is to play in a pipe band and do parades, funerals, weddings, etc. My wife & stepson threaten to disown me if they ever see me in a kilt.
