Default Who Else Has A 100 Pound Whoose, Besides Me?

This is my dog, and he is the biggest whoose on the planet. Some jerk a couple of doors down is blowing off fireworks. Just before they started I tossed the dog out for his last pee of the night. I'm sitting here reviewing threads and I hear these sounds like a dog getting the snot kicked out of him... Yep, it was mine. Darn DOG! Doesnt like fireworks, goes Rental Monkey in the truck in a thunder storm (ask Da Rev or Steamer! LOL) Oh... or you can ask Stayback too.

My dogs turn into "wimpy wimpy wuss dogs" whenever they hear fireworks or thunder, too...

PS: both of them together weigh 112 pounds.

We have two extra large breed dogs. Bear is 165 lbs mastiff/lab/rottweiler mix, (Bear is 5 yrs), Kaos is 5 months and 75lb rottweiler/shepherd mix.

They're both TERRIFIED of little dogs, and men who wear jean jackets.

Had a pair of mix St. Bernard/black lab. One named Axe the other named Bull. Yeah I know Backdraft was big at the time. Now only Bull is left he is a 135lb big sweetie dog. He will lay under my feet while I target shoot. But will try to hide under the bed when there is thunder. He sounds like he could tear off your head as the Fed Ex guy found out. Of course the Fed Ex guy to his surprise said What are you barking at and the big baby ran into his dog box and hid was funny

My sister used to have a Scottie bitch that could hear squirrels out by the back fence, while she(the dog)was laying in front of a blaring TV,in the front of the house and another 100 feet away from said back fence.
That dog would sound off like a fire alarm at the slightest noise, which is a good thing for a woman living alone in NOLA.

Malahat,Nice mousetrap you've got there.Looks a lot like the malamute we had when we first got married. He lived to the ripe old age of 15.You could always tell when it was going to snow,he'd do his little snow dance. T.C.

Ya know, for being a "winter" breed, mine hates the snow. He'll go play in it for about 1/2hr, and then curl up into this tiny little ball, and sulk until you let him in. Last winter we had snow for about 2wks. After the first day, he almost didnt even want to go out for a pee- DARN DOG! I guess maybe I shouldnt give him too much of a rough time, he is 9, and get'n old by Dog Standards.

I've got 2 of the BIGGEST sissie dalmations ever. The two of them litterally huddle together and quiver at the sound of thunder. If you stand up quickly, or give a good "hooray" while watching the game, their out the doggie door with the quickness. Glad we got them around to keep an eye on the house while im out on a call at 2 am.

HEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYY Just ask Weruj1, Da Rev or Steamer how well I handled the "Ohioan" rain and thunder! heehehehehee Then ask them how well the dog took it.

Things are going very well actually. Other than a wee vehicular electrical problem on Thursday night: I was supposed to be on the road to western TN to visit with my sister. Turns out to be a ground fault of some kind, but was unable to trace it GRRRRR. Oh well.

Past that, and of course the humidity that hits this place, I and the dog are doing very well. I put my name in at the Vienna VFD and am awaiting further word from them. Hopefully something will come of that. I'm getting kinda 'itchy' to be back in the saddle again. LOL.

My dog loves the sound of "rolling thunder".
He keeps the yard from over populating with birds when he's outside.
Fireworks are illegal. So; we don't have them here. Chopper would be fascinated by them anyway.
He spends too much time in front of the TV.
He doesn't like the cat getting more attention than him.
    He's spoiled, man.
    But I love him.
