Training Funding Opportunity for PA Agencies
For those that may be interested:
The PA Department of Agriculture Farm Safety and Occupational Health grant applications are now open for FY06-07. This program is available to public safety agencies within PA. Applications are due by 10/31/2005.
The Small Grant Program provides up to $2,500 per eligible entity per year for:
-Projects relating to the prevention or mitigation of farm accidents
-Educational programs relating to agricultural equipment safety and first aid for farm youth
-Farm safety day camps and demonstrations
-Farm fire safety instruction
-Training programs related to emergency response
-Age-appropriate adult and farm worker training
I have added links to my website for the grants. I am familiar with this grant program and can offer assistance and guidance on what these grant programs can be used for, etc. You can either email or post questions here.
I will note one of the BIG differences with this grant program is that it is not just an equipment grant; some sort of related training is a required component of the potentially successful grant application.
