I just heard today that the director of FEMA has no experience in managing any type of disaster let alone a simple emergency type call. The only experience he has in management is managing judges for Arabian horse shows. The story states that he got his name put in by a campaign aide to the President. What's up with that??? How true is this???![]()

unreal. MAYBE an emergency service, or military dude (like this Honore guy) should be in charge. someone with ANY experience so a fustercluck is minimized next time. cant do much logistically when your biggest career decision is how many horses you should put in a show.

This opens up SO MANY "horses ***" jokes.....
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

Doubtful
FEMA Senior Staff Biographies are on this web site
http://www.fema.gov/about/bios/bio.shtm
By the time you go down the list (and the guy at the top did NOT list horse judging - maybe its his hobby
) you find folks with a lot of experience.
Remember, all the upper level "secretary" type positions are political appointees. Theoretically, they run the show, but its the career civil servants that actually make it happen.

Allright, maybe the info given is inaccurate but I did look at his bio and saw nothing reguarding any previous experience in managing any type of emergency period. My point was that this yahoo probly got his job because his "buddy" who worked on the Presidents campaign recommended him instead of putting someone in their who knows something, about oh I don't know maybe, how to manage a fire or ems dept? Naw, that would make too much sense!

So we have the three stooges - the mayor, the governor, and the FEMA director.
