What are the certs in ohio? what kind of training program if any is there? WE just recently(monday) had a guy join our department that has an Ohio Firefighter 1A card. but doesnt have any other documentatin. just wondering what this is, or equivelant to. We're trying to see if we can transfer some of his training over to KY's system.

The 1A is now called Volunteer Firefighter and consists of 36 hours of training. You can see the hours guide and course objectives for all Ohio certification levels here:
