    Default preplan with Cameo

Can you use Cameo, and Marpolot to preplan? What about Landview 6? for mapping hydrants ? Any other free software for fire departments?

Landview 6 is free of charge and can be found at :http://www.census.gov/geo/landview/

I believe maps from that can be used with Cameo

They're showing a price of $129 on their order page. Am I missing where it's free of charge?

We sort of use cameo to preplan. Cameo itself wouldn't be used to preplan. The preplan program would be Tier II Submit but it interfaces with both Marplot and Cameo. Here's how it works:

You enter the Tier II forms that have been submitted to your FD on Tier II submit and then in the course of entering you end up using Cameo to store the chemicals that are on site and Marplot to plot the location of the facility on the preloaded government issue maps. We enter all of our Tier II forms into Tier II submit but honestly we have never used the information on a call-out.

or you could draw your maps using autocadd or microstation and convert them using adobe into pdf files and using the linking feature all you streets, high risk site and msds sheet are just a click away - use word or excel program set-up your own inspection form and you can also link that to your maps - easy as pie
