Mississippi Health Official Tries to Block M/A EMS
Here's a link to a story from Hattiesburg, MS. Apparently, a state health department official tried to block Cincinnati, Ohio FD medics from providing EMS as part of their deployment to Hattiesburg. (the deployment was officially requested and approved, I believe through EMAC). The local officials and the governor stepped in and got the problem corrected:

It appears that while some beaurocrat had the wrong priorites, better judgement prevailed.
Why? Because they are a crappy company
Guess how long AMR lasted when they tried to invade the Chicago "market" ? They were gone in 2 years.
