Had this one last night (interupted my Giants game !)

BELMAR Firefighters late Monday night were battling a blaze that broke out around 10:30 p.m. at a two-family house at 825 13th Ave. No injuries were reported.

The fire started on the second floor, in a vacant apartment that was under renovation, and spread to the third-floor attic, police detective and volunteer firefighter Sean Pringle said. A man, woman and dog who live on the first floor escaped without injury, he said.

As of 11:45 p.m., flames could still be seen shooting out of the attic, as a crowd of about 100 neighbors watched.

The entire home, located less than one block off Route 71, sustained extensive damage, with the top two floors damaged the most severely.

Fifty to 75 firefighters responded to the scene, from Belmar, Lake Como, Avon and Wall. The Firefighter Assist and Search Team was on standby to assist firefighters who were injured, although as of 11:30 p.m. no one had been reported hurt.
