    Default Computer resources

Does anyone have a list of free or inexpensive computer programs for use by the Fire service and where to get them?

Open Office is an office suite (word processor, spreadsheet, database, etc). Free program with lots of free support.
You can use the spreadsheet program for inventory, training, call and meeting rosters, budgets, etc. All documents are compatable with Micro$oft Office products.

CAMEO is also free along with MarPlot and ALOHA. Download here

Check with your state Fire Marshals office and ask if they have the free NFIRS program available. Several states have agreements with National Fire incident Reporting System to provide software to FD's at little to no charge.
