now you just ruined my day...I was hoping we would get awarded since they called our county EMA director to verify the information on our application. Does anyone know if they will be sending DJ's or if they will be awarding another round from Phase 1?

Nothing further from Phase I, but Phase 2 will be coming down the pike. That's probably where y'all are at. One of my clients got a call right after Phase I-Round 1 was announced and they are on the list for Round 2.

    Default Round 2

Doesn't round 2 have a seperate application process? Do I need to do anything else to follow-up?

    Default rejection letter

We received our DJ over the weekend. It said in the letter to apply for Phase II in NOVEMBER. I'm assuming the application date has been pushed out to November instead of October like was expected. Does anyone know what items will be on the next phase application?

I haven't heard anything about them changing the list of eligible products, considering the response to the program I think they ought to realize that the demand for that stuff is still there. I know there's no fun in not changing anything, but that's my vote: leave it as is. Well, besides putting more money into it, but that's the obvious part.

Brian it is our understanding that there will be considerably more selection of equipment offered in Phase II. Do I know what it will be? No. Glad to see you didn;t get blown away or aren't floating around ina Zodiac somewhere.

Thanks, but I wasn't too worried about being blown away. Not as long as the scale keeps saying what it's saying anyway... "One at a time please!"

Umm, it's a sympathy gut to help my wife feel better during the pregnancy, yeah that's it...

jack, was the DJ very specific about what was wrong or just another generic rejection letter like they are usually so fond of sending?

    Kurt, it said this:
"The response to the program has been tremendous and because CEDAP is a competitive program, not all applicants submitted successful proposals. Unfortunately, based on the responses to the questions given to your application, CEDAP will not be able to make an award to Ashley Community Fire Protection District at this time."

It goes on to say try again in the next phase wherethere will be more catalog offerings and available equipment and that we are "strongly encouraged to reapply".

Sounded generic to me. What I thought was funny is that the one page letter came in a big brown manila envelop that cost them 60 cents in postage.

Pretty generic but, it did say based upon the responses. If you want me to take a look at it my associate is a CEDAP and ONDCP genius. I can have her look it over and see if she spots anything patently wrong with it. Just attach as a seprate email to me.
