Anyone on here from in or near Pittsburgh?
I'm spending the week in Warrendale. It looks like its less than 20 miles north of Pittsburgh.
I would love to poke my head into a few stations while I'm in the neighbourhood.
Thanks.
Randy

My luggage has been lost until 8:00 last night, so I didn't get out.
I am heading out today when my training is done. Cranberry township is where I'm staying. Cranberry township Volunteer Fire Co. has a web site. I'll poke at it to see if they have station addresses etc...SRFD905 - Serving since 1998

Just came back from a visit with ??? at Cranberry Township VFC Station 2.
My luck.. all the trucks were out on training. I met an officer. I didn't get his name or rank. He was in turn out pants... no helmet...
I'm heading to station 1 tommorow. I'm told that some of the old guys hang out there in their down time.SRFD905 - Serving since 1998

Stayback is in Stoneboro, between Pittsburgh and Erie, at the junction of State 62 and 845. If you get there, be sure and tell him how good his new station looks. Ever seen a 6'20" 200 lb guy blush?

l 6'20" or... 7' 8" if you are counting like the rest of the world....
I didn't hook up with Stayback. I didn't get out of Warrendale & Cranberry Township except for a pleasent dinner out at Pitsburgh's best seafood eatery on top of Mount Washington. I had the Mahi Mahi with a cranberry sauce.
I did tour Station 2 in Cranberry. Very nice facilities. Well equiped and looks to be very organized.
I'm off to Houston on the 10th... going to try and tour a couple of stations there too.SRFD905 - Serving since 1998
