Most of those apply to North Jersey people, too.
You forgot one, though.
Although there are a myriad of bridges and tunnels in the City, you know what they are talking about when they say THE Bridge or THE tunnel.

Real NY's
Maybe we should blow up all the bridges and build a wall in So. Westchester so all of the fakes up here in the "upstate" dont have to support the city

$80K is cheap for here...5 years ago, you could have gotten the same acre for $15K...

You will like this came home from Iraq, wanted to buy a house. Couldnt afford one, no problem buy a town house. Found one $135,000.00. Cheap I can do that. Call the seller explain my plight. He is a West Point Grad. "I'll help a fellow Vet."(goes off mumbling how 2nd homeowners have brought up the real estate market too high for locals to buy....)
Show up for the open house, a guy from Suffolk beat me there gave the guy $145,000.00 CASH, YES CASH. I say blow up the Tapp.

Or...you could do what our emergency management wanted to do in case of a bioterror attack in the city....thinking that the 2nd homeowners would flock here...want to stop them? put birms up on the roads leading into town...At first I thought they were kidding...I was sadly mistaken...

So they wouldn't mind if these pariahs of society didn't pay taxes to a jurisdiction where they are not wanted, right?

To answer your ? Dave, an acre is 43,560 square feet. Come on out to Nebraska and buy all you want for $2500 an acre. Only problems, no bagels, taxi's, tunnels, but you can get a straw w/ beer.
