Smoke Detectors & Battery Hand-outs
My fire department is hosting an Open House this weekend to promote National Fire Prevention Week. We are planning to hand out 9-volt batteries and smoke detectors to residents of our township, as well as other home safety items.
I have seen a form somewhere that departments use that exempt us from liability of any fault of the items that are distributed, that the residents sign before receiving anything. I think it also confirmed that they are a resident of the specific area.
Anyone have anything like this that you can email to me? Please PM me if so.

Just make sure you dont hand them out to people who live were hard wired detectors are required by code. Places like apartment buildings.Fire Marshal/Safety Officer
