Splott Park Muirton Road Tremorfa


Fire crews attended a deliberate grass fire at Splott Park. The crews were attacked whilst putting out the fire by a number of youths throwing stones at them. There were no injuries or damage to the appliance.

Fire crews using four breathing apparatus and two hose reels extinguished a fire on the first floor of a disused building. The fire service were called out again at17:48 to put out a fire on the ground floor. Fire fighters searched the property for any persons that may have been sleeping rough in the building but no persons were found.

Tottenham – man rescued from house fire

A man was rescued from a fire in a house of multiple occupancy on High Road in Tottenham this morning. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued the man from the second floor bedroom via the internal staircase. The fire damaged part of the front room in a downstairs flat. The Brigade was called at 0837 and the fire was under control by 0923. Fire crews from Tottenham attended the incident.

Dagenham – house fire
Fire crews tackled a blaze in a house on the Heathway, Dagenham yesterday afternoon. The fire started in the front bedroom and damaged part of the first floor of the two storey house. One woman and two children escaped before the Brigade arrived and were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews. The Brigade was called at 1411 and the fire was under control by 1442. Firefighters from Dagenham fire station attended the scene. Investigations into the cause of the fire are still taking place.

Surbiton – shop fire
Six fire engines and around thirty firefighters were called to a fire in a shop on Victoria Road in Surbiton yesterday afternoon. The shop of two floors was completely gutted as a result of the blaze. Fire crews using breathing apparatus and three jets successfully contained the fire from spreading to neighbouring businesses. The Brigade was called at 1444 and the fire was under control by 1639. Firefighters from Surbiton, Kingston, New Malden, Sutton and Wandsworth fire stations attended. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
