Question Mack/Baker Aerialscope Remount Cost $$

My department has a 1974/1985 Mack CF Aerialscope 75' on a single rear axle. we are looking to upgrade the apparatus in the near future, due to the very high cost of buying a new tower ladder we would like to remount our boom & platform onto a new " chassis cab " . Baker did a complete refurb on the Aerialscope when we purchased it back in 1986. We need input on the cost of a new fire body & chassis cab from any departments that had this type of work done on there scope. We are interested in the following chassis: ( Seagrave 6 man tilt cab ) ( Pierce Arrow XT, Enforcer ) ( Spartan Chassis ) The names of any " Apparatus Refurb " centers & total costs of your remounted scope would be very much helpfull !

I have seen more, maybe someone else can post them.

I read somewhere that a 95' Aerialscope on a Dash tandem chassis was like $485,000??? I think that included refurbing the aerial device. Are you wanting a single or tandem?

Our refurb in Birdsboro cost around $550,000 on a Pierce Dash chassis with total reburb of the boom.

In the back of firehouse magazine, they have an advertisment for a Spartan Chassis w/ new body and refurbed boom for $389,000.

Since Seagrave owns Aerialscope, I would start with them????

We tried to talk to Seagraves but they only seem to be interested in selling new ones, not re-furbing an old one. That's why we went with Pierce.
