Sorry George, she just doesn't do it for me.

At least she doesn't have all the track marks and the strung out look of many a street walker.

"Ho" ala Garret Morris on SNL about a million years ago. He was selling a book entitled "I Wanna Be a Ho".

I used to love watching Quincy. Used to be on after I got out of school and tied up my mind.

Mostly on-line so far. I have not seen it out at Wal-mart or the like yet, but I suspect it will be in wider distribution for Christmas.

    Here's a couple:

    NBC-online - Emergency: Season 1

    Amazon.com - Emergency: Season 1

And this site advertises the entire series package, but I suspect it must be a pirate version.

Crazy Sandman - Emergency: Entire Series DVD

I can't believe I'm about to do this but here goes......I'm about to correct George.....and being a TV trivia junkie, as most of you know, I KNOW I'm right. George old boy, it was not Garrett Morris who said those famous words, "I wanna be a ho", it was Eddie Murphy, in his persona as Velvet Jones, hawking his book, "I Wanna Be a Ho". Sorry, and fire away..........

No problem. When I am wrong, I am wrong. I will always admit it.

When I was thinking about this, I thought that the HO thing was too long ago to be Eddie Murphy. You see, I am old enough to remember the first season of SNL.

The cast of the first few seasons of SNL were, without a doubt, the best.

The show did go downhill after Belushi died.Remember the old man on the train(Belushi)remembering his days on the show and his friends before they passed on?How ironic, huh?
Maybe it's just me but I didn't recall the show being as politically motivated in what they call"humor".They used to poke fun at everything, now it all seems to be based on liberal views of what's right and wrong with the country.

I don't want to see a movie, lets bring it back as a series! You know the "real" squad 51 works in Universal City, I've seen it. Still a pickup with a utility body. E-51 was out doing inspections.

There are several fan sites, this one's pretty good...

Hmmm, 1st season on DVD... The 1st season had the best theme song too.
I see on one of the fan sites the season 2 will be out in Feb!!!!

That series did more to inspire me to be a firefighter than any other single thing, and I know a lot of my brothers are in the same category.

My county's 5 volunteer departments are numbered going clockwise from the SW corner, 1 through 5. Yes,West McCracken Fire and Rescue DOES have a rescue unit numbered 51.It is unknown to me if they have gotten tired of the"Where's Johnny and Roy?"questions.

It would be nice to see a modern version of LA County fire doing their thing. The fire TV shows just dont cut it.

There is some SUPER embarrassing show done a few years back showing LA CITY type drinking and smoozing in the station. Total sad case.

I think the fire service tv show and mainstream primetime are just like oil and water. They dont mix.

My dream and I hope you don't find this too crazy is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

Like someone said about shows like"Rescue Me" and "Third Watch",the shows about various public servants are basically soap operas due to all the happenings that occur in the season on a near daily basis that would rarely happen in the real world.
